Straits Club

The Straits Club provides a level of exclusivity matchless in many hotels. For the really health conscious the Fullerton’s Straits Club also thoughtfully provides a bowl brimming with fresh tropical fruit.

The suite’s sitting room is warmly decorated in neutral and natural shades of stone and hemp and fitted with a sofa, easy chairs, a work desk with high speed Internet access and free local telephone calls. The minibar is one of the best stocked in any hotel. By any standards the Straits Club suites are exceptional.

The club lounge’s soaring ceilings, vintage Peranakan décor and Straits Chinese artefacts exude a style of understated elegance that is reminiscent of a London gentleman’s club.The lounge looks out on to magnificent views across the Singapore River to the traditional civic quarter with its restored colonial era buildings, and affords a broad vista of the river along Boat and Clarke Quays.

As dusk falls the water's rippling surface reflects the night-time scene in a kaleidoscope of colours, red, blue, green and yellow streak the shimmering surface like an artist’s palate. The colours are occasionally churned and mixed into a Damien Hirst-like melange by the passing bumboats.

Particularly the decadently rich Gold Sling with gold dust infused into the concoction.
