Healing Waters
Lease wanted to bring to life a place that helps preserve it with the touch of healing water. By using a system to cool down its 170-degree spring water, guests can soak in one of its three mineral water pools varying from 84 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer. Mineral waters around the world are famous for their healing attributes. Used for years to relieve sore muscles and treat the stiffness that accompanies arthritis, the water in Desert Hot Springs is also especially rich in silica leaving the skin soft and smooth. “The hotter the mineral water, the greater the mineral content,” Lease says.
Whether you choose to sunbathe, relax in a hammock or watch the sunset behind the San Jacinto or San Gorgonio Mountains, the options are endless here.
The Spring Resort & Spa, located only two hours from Los Angeles and minutes from Palm Springs, offers an array of massage, facial and body treatments. Guests can enjoy individual one hour treatments or select from packages that focuses on cleansing, detoxification and rejuvenation.
Day Spa guests should arrive at least 30 minutes before a treatment. This will give them time to relax in one of three mineral pools. After a treatment, these healing minerals are more easily absorbed through the skin. Repeated exfoliation, massage and soaking stimulate the heating process, resulting in total relaxation and rejuvenation.
